The community of Caruthers is
currently worked diligently on the Memorial Site to honor and remember all Carutherians who have served the United States of America in any branch of
the military.
The wall displays the names of everyone who has ever resided
in Caruthers and has been in one of the six military branches
They worked on the irrigation
for the landscaping
The base for the flag pole is
completed. It is highlighted by brass plaques which denote the six
branches. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines Corp, Coast Guard and
Merchant Marines
The flag pole is topped by a brass American
eagle.
Much work was done to complete
this community project and all are encouraged to visit this meaningful
memorial
Many donations have made this memorial
possible. The local Veteran's of Foreign War have donated their 1942 57mm
canon
